Curriculum

The academic curriculum of the Start-uP MBA program spans one year and includes foundation courses, core courses, advanced courses, consulting projects, corporate visits, and internships.

The program consists of 50 credit points and includes the following components:

  • Foundation courses – 9 courses of 1.5/2.0 credit points each, totaling 16 credit points.
  • Core courses – 9 courses of 1.5/2.0 credit points each, totaling 14.5 credit points.
  • Advanced courses – 5 courses of 1.5 credit points each, totaling 7.5 credit points.
  • Corporate visits – 12 visits (mandatory) without credit points.
  • Industry seminars – 3 seminars (mandatory) without credit points.
  • Consulting courses – 2 consulting courses of 3 credit points, totaling 6 credit points.
  • Internpreneurship (internship in entrepreneurship) – 6 credit points.

 

 

Foundation courses (9 courses) – 16 credit points

These introductory courses provide fundamental knowledge and develop expertise in the functional domains of management. The list of foundation courses includes:

  • Managerial Economics (2 credit points)
  • Quantitative Methods and Statistics (2 credit points)
  • Accounting (2 credit points)
  • Organizational Behavior (2 credit points)
  • Financial Management (2 credit points)
  • Operations and Supply Chain Management (1.5 credit points)
  • Marketing Management (1.5 credit points)
  • Competitive Strategy (1.5 credit points)
  • Entrepreneurship (1.5 credit points)

 

Core courses (9 courses) - 14.5 credit points

These courses rely on foundation courses and offer either integrative frameworks or specialization in the program’s core concentration in entrepreneurship, innovation, and technology management. The list of core courses includes:

  • Analysis of Financial Reports (2 credit points)
  • Negotiation Management (2 credit points)
  • Consumer Behavior (1.5 credit points)
  • Capital Markets (1.5 credit points)
  • Technology Management (1.5 credit points)
  • Intellectual Property (1.5 credit points)
  • Cooperative Strategy (1.5 credit points)
  • Innovation Management (1.5 credit points)
  • New Product Development (1.5 points)

 

Advanced courses (5 courses)

Advanced courses further develop the program’s specialization in entrepreneurship, innovation, and technology management as well as offer selected electives. Each year, five courses will be offered from the list of advanced courses:

  • Entrepreneurship and Business Development (1.5 points)
    • Market Analysis (1.5 points, Priority)
    • Entrepreneurial Finance and Corporate Valuation (1.5 points)
    • International Business (1.5 points)
    • Leadership (1.5 points)
    • Project Management (1.5 points)
    • Cross-Cultural Management (1.5 points)
    • Human Resource Management (1.5 points)
    • Corporate Strategy (1.5 points)
    • Governance and Business Ethics (1.5 points)
    • Information Systems Management (1.5 points)
    • Organizational Change (1.5 points)

 

This year the 5 courses selected by the academic team are:

  • Project Management (1.5 points)

All students are required to take all elective courses offered in a particular year. In addition, students can take a course offered by one of our partner schools as part of the Global Network for Advanced Management.
